L’anno scorso ho conosciuto il direttore della fotografia Lucas Preti e l’idea di lavorare insieme ad un progetto è nata spontanea. In breve, Lucas ha creato un video in realtà virtuale girato presso la Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve a Murrieta, California, Stati Uniti d’America, e io ne ho scritto la colonna sonora. Il mio contributo ha portato alla composizione di un pezzo strumentale intitolato “The Auld Oak Tree”, che è stato pubblicato come singolo il 17 dicembre 2024. Il mio collaboratore di lunga data, Oleg Bezuglov, si è unito alla causa aggiungendo al pezzo il suono da sogno del suo violino.

It is well-known how much other musicians may influence us as composers. In my case, Johann Sebastian Bach, Eric Woolfson, Alan Parsons, Roger Hodgson, Vangelis, and Mike Oldfield are probably on my top list of influential musicians.

A few years ago, I heard of Robert Reed, who was picking up the torch Mike Oldfield had ignited in the early 1970s with his deep, complex, and innovative music. Intrigued, I delved into Robert Reed’s Sanctuary albums and was astounded by his musical prowess.

Attending a live performance by Robert Reed seemed like a distant dream, given the limited number of venues where he has performed over the years. However, luck was on my side, and I had the privilege of witnessing the Robert Reed Sanctuary Live concert at the Arlington Arts Centre in Newbury, England, UK, on May 26th.

The experience was nothing short of emotional, and at times, I found it difficult to contain the tears that welled up as I listened to the captivating power of his music. What impressed me most about Robert Reed was his immense talent and humble nature. Despite his remarkable musical abilities, he remained grounded and connected with the audience personally. The same can be said for all band members. It felt like enjoying music with close family and friends.

The memories of that evening at the Arlington Arts Centre will forever be etched in my mind and heart, as it is one of the most extraordinary musical experiences I have ever had.

Robert Reed & Garofdalus

Garofdalus recently had the incredible opportunity to record, mix, and master the breathtaking performance of a sensational youth orchestra. Collaborating with Brad Bohn, the orchestra director, was an inspiring experience that pushed Garofdalus to new heights in achieving the desired sound quality.

Il 24 luglio 2021 il Giornale di Erba ha pubblicato un’intervista a Garofdalus a cura della giornalista Tania Gandola.

Il 26 e 27 luglio 2019, in preparazione alla registrazione di quello che sarebbe diventato l’album musicale Lario, Garofdalus ha frequentato master class training sessions presso lo studio di registrazione ParSonics, Santa Barbara, California, per imparare dal famoso ingegnere del suono Alan Parsons.

Garofdalus ha pubblicato un nuovo album in studio dal titolo Lario. Il compact disc e la versione digitale sono disponibili su https://garofdalus.bandcamp.com. Solo le versioni digitali possono essere acquisite tramite qui.

Garofdalus ha annunciato l’uscita di un nuovo album musicale intitolato Lario il 12 dicembre 2020. Ci sarà una trasmissione su YouTube della premiere lo stesso giorno alle 11:00 PST. Il link alla trasmissione verrà rilasciato a breve.

Un sogno di molti anni si sta per realizzare: tradurre il romanzo “El Viejo Pobre y Sabio” (Il Vecchio Povero e Saggio) in lingua inglese. Garofdalus e alcuni sostenitori hanno lanciato una campagna GoFundMe per finanziare questo progetto. Puoi trovare maggiori informazioni qui.

Circa un mese fa, Garofdalus ha annunciato:

“Ho finalmente pubblicato il mio canale di video Il bello della vita. Alcuni anni fa ho avuto questa visione di creare un canale video in cui condividere le cose belle della vita”.
